Official Marriage Certificate in Queensland
After your marriage, the official marriage certificate comes from Births, Deaths and Marriages Queensland, not from us.
Important difference
- The certificate you receive from us on the day is ceremonial.
- The official certificate for legal purposes is issued by Births, Deaths and Marriages Queensland.
You usually need the official certificate for:
- changing your name
- updating government records
- passports and visas
- legal or banking purposes
Ready to get married?
Click the Get Married link to get started. You book and pay first, then prepare your NOIM, have it witnessed, and send it to us. Once we receive the paperwork, we confirm the date, time, and place based on availability. We are private celebrants, not a government registry. Need a full ceremony? Josh Withers. Need an elopement? Elopement Collective.
