Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Getting Married in Australia if You Live Overseas

You can get married in Australia even if you live overseas.

The key points

  • You do not need Australian citizenship or residency.
  • You still need a NOIM at least one month before the marriage.
  • The marriage itself must still happen in person in Australia.
  • If documents are not in English, translations may be needed.

A common approach

  1. Book with us.
  2. Prepare the NOIM on NOIM Easy.
  3. Have it witnessed by an authorised witness where you are.
  4. Send us the paperwork.
  5. Travel for the marriage once everything is ready.

Important note

We can help with the marriage paperwork. We do not give migration advice.
